Liquid Special Tonic for Algae Control in Marine Aquariums
RED X prevents algae growth in the aquarium, working in a biologically-organic manner.
RED X is very gentle in use and, at the recommended dosage, has no effect on fish, corals, or invertebrates.
RED X is a liquid special tonic against algae and bacteria, designed specifically for use in marine aquariums.
- Green and red cyanobacteria layers
- Light dinoflagellate infestation
(Ostreopsis sp., Amphidinium sp., Prorocentrum sp., Coolia sp. - Symbiodinium and others)
- Golden and armored algae growth

Dosing recomendation:
- 10 ml/100 liters (26 US gal.) daily for six days, then wait for an additional five days for full effect to occur.
- During treatment period, do not perform water changes and do not use GAC or other adsorbers, ozone or UV.
- Remove all existing algae coatings if possible. After 11 days resume to normal aquarium care.
Rebiotic Treatment After Use
After treatment, we recommend a course with Fauna Marin Rebiotic to establish a healthy and efficient biological balance in the aquarium. This effectively prevents reinfection with unwanted layers. In particularly stubborn cases, you can repeat the treatment after a rest period of 1 week, starting the Rebiotic treatment afterward.

Pure Biological Effect!
Contains no prescription medications or antibiotics. RED X's effect is initiated by inhibiting metabolic cycles within the unwanted algae/bacteria and does not affect typical cycle bacteria.
Why RED X?
RED X prevents algae growth in the aquarium, working in a biologically/organically based way. It is especially suitable for removing light cyanobacteria, dinoflagellates, and golden algae layers.
RED X or DINO X?
RED X works gently and supportively. We recommend using RED X before a treatment with DINO X, as DINO X is significantly stronger. Aquariums heavily infested with the brown pest should be treated with DINO X directly.
CAUTION for New Aquariums!
Do not use RED X if you have just started your aquarium. The layers and algae that grow during the start-up phase are part of the healthy development of a marine aquarium and should not be disturbed!
Correct Water Parameters
Red X is not a substitute for correctly setting water and nutrient parameters. We recommend performing an ICP analysis and correctly adjusting all water parameters alongside each use. The outbreak of cyanobacteria is strongly related to certain trace and nutrient value ratios and can only be permanently eliminated by correctly setting the aquarium values.
