Strigatella paupercula - Zebra Mitre

Strigatella paupercula is a shell-bearing gastropod in the family Mitridae, known as Mitre snails.

Mitre snails have elongated shells with spiral ridges. They do not possess an operculum to close the shell opening.

Mitre snails are particularly distributed in the tropical Indo-Pacific and have colorful and sculptured shells.

Snails of this family are predatory carnivores and/or feed on carrion.
