ICP Osmose Test
Regularly testing Osmose water from the Osmose system is an essential part of maintaining a saltwater aquarium. With our Fauna Marin Osmose Test Kit, you can easily and quickly have the key parameters of Osmose water checked.
We measure the following water parameters:
Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium, Sodium, Sulfur, Phosphorus, Total Phosphate (calculated), Silicon, Silicate (calculated), Aluminum, Lead, Cadmium, Chromium, Iron, Copper, Lithium, Nickel, Mercury, Tin, Zinc
Please note:
The Fauna Marin ICP Laboratory Osmose Test is exclusively designed for the analysis of Osmose water and is not suitable for measuring drinking water, well water, or pool water.

Why should I have my Osmose water tested?
Quality Control:
Osmose water serves as the starting point for preparing seawater in your aquarium. It should be of the highest quality to ensure an optimal living environment for your marine inhabitants. Regular testing helps ensure that Osmose water is free from contaminants that could be harmful to your corals, fish, and invertebrates.
Preventing Contamination:
Osmose systems are designed to remove various pollutants such as heavy metals, chlorine, pesticides, organic matter, and minerals from tap water. Checking Osmose water ensures that the system is functioning correctly and that unwanted substances do not enter the aquarium.
Aquarium Stability:
Stable water parameters provided by high-quality Osmose water are crucial for the health of your aquatic life forms. Fluctuations in water parameters can lead to stress and diseases in fish and corals. Through testing, you can ensure that your saltwater aquarium provides a consistent and optimal environment.
Preventing Algal Blooms:
High phosphate or silicate levels in Osmose water can lead to unwanted algae growth in your aquarium. By monitoring these parameters, you can take timely measures to prevent algae problems.
Effective Nutrient Additions:
If you use chemicals or preparations to adjust water parameters and supply your corals and organisms, it is important to know the quality of your source water. This allows for more precise dosing and prevents over- or under-dosing.
