The Fauna Marin Multi-Filter is a versatile media chamber that can be used as a bio-pellet reactor or media reactor. Make sure the pump is fully open, see operating instructions enclosed with the pump. Step 2 Find a suitable area in your sump and place the Multi-Filter in that area. If possible, position the filter in front of a skimmer. This will allow the reactor media to more efficiently reduce nutrients. The reactor should not sit in a water level above 9.8" - 11.8". Make sure the reactor is standing straight at all times. Otherwise, performance will be compromised. Step 3 Remove the upper middle screw and screen, then add your filter media of choice. Re-position the screen and slightly tighten screw. Step 4 Adjust the pump outflow rate by turning the dial on the pump itself. Make sure the filter media is tumbling gently and not getting tossed around the reactor. Ensure that the filter media is always tumbling and getting sufficient water flow. Maintenance In order for the reactor to maintain performance, we recommend you perform regular maintenance on the reactor. Weekly maintenance Clean the upper screen with a soft brushClean the drain openings with a soft straw brush or padClean the outer side-walls of the reactor with a pad 2 week maintenance Clean pump body 3 - 4 week maintenance Remove and clean lower screen by disassembling the reactor body.Open center screw of the PVC pipe, remove upper screen.Turn the lower screen on the center PVC pipe (threaded at the base)Re-assemble Our recommendation It is very important to make sure that the water is overflowing evenly throughout the reactor's outer walls. This allows for the drain water to be re-enriched with Oxygen which was previously consumed during the nutrient decomposition phase. Use the flow-adjustment knob to fine-tune the reactor flow rate and ensure that the reactor runs quietly.

Ultra-Phos is a new aluminium based adsorber which safely removes phosphates and humic substances from the aquarium. The pollutants are bound to the surface of Ultra Phos and will not be released again.Ultra Power-Phos can maintain very low nutrient concentrations in your tank. Unwanted Algae growth will be stopped and corals will show their natural colours. Instructions and Dosing recommendationPlease do all changes in the aquarium carefully and slowly. Start with 50 gr per 200 L / 50 gal. of water. After 14 days the dose can be increased up to 100 gr per 200 L / 50 gal. of water, do NOT overdose!Check phosphate concentration regularly with reliable test kits, e.g. with the FaunaMarin PO4-Test. In case the PO4 level starts to increase again, exchange Ultra-Phos for fresh material. Do not use more than 100 g (3.5 oz) per 200 L (50 gal). We recommend to place the material in a filter chamber with high flow, only there it will provide its maximum performance.In case of extremely low PO4 levels and non-detectable Nitrate levels Ultra-Phos should not be used.Ultra-Phos is extremely strong and suitable for tanks with a high nutrient load. Ultra-Phos also removes unwanted organic compounds and yellowness. In tanks with high organic load (yellowish water) it may take a little while before the PO4 reduction becomes measurable. This is a normal process, you will notice the color change of the Ultra-Phos from white to yellow and the much clearer water in the aquarium.For a slower adsorption rinse the filled filter bag with osmotic water before use. To obtain best results and maximize adsorbtion efficiency, place the material between two layers of filter wool or use a fluidized-bed-reactor.In case you use the material in a fluidized bed reactor, please consider the much higher efficiency of the material. Reduce the amount of Ultra-Phos by 50 % and carefully control the flow through the filter.Ultra-Phos will become warm, when first immersed in water. Do not rinse the material. Keep away from children.Not to be used for animals used for food production.Do not inhale, do not swallow.Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Today, these systems are very popular among reef keepers to maintain perfect growth and coloration of sensitive stony corals and soft corals. Despite the fact that zeolite filtration using various natural zeolite mixes has proven great effectiveness, it turned out over the years to also be a complex methodology which requires a high degree of monitoring and control. However, our new Fauna Marin Zeo-Light-System now provides you a zeolite filtration system for excellent results in coral coloration and growth without the need of supplementing countless additives. The application of only a few but very efficient products dosed each twice a week makes it possible to achieve perfect results. Based on the combination of the Ultralith system with our additinal product series, the Fauna Marin Zeo-Light system is the groundwork for a longterm maintenance of a reef aquarium and prevents your aquarium from developing the „old-tank-syndrome“.   Dosing of the ZeoLight System:   Zeolith: 1 kg per 1000 L (260 US gal lqd) using a constant but light flow-through, cleaning every 2 days, replace 75% of the zeolite every 4 weeks.   Coral Vitality 1 drop/100Liter(26Usgal) daily. Carb L add 300 g per 1000 Liter (260 US gal lqd) to a flow-through filter unit applying 200 L/h. Color Elements 2 mL per 100 L(26 US gal lqd) every 4 days, alternately to ReefVitality.Start dosage with 0,5 mL/100 L(26 US gal lqd) for the first 3 weeks.All 3 color elements can be dosed simultaneously. In regard to the desired color development the individual dosages should be modified.Maximum dosage: 5 mL per 100 Liter(26 US gal lqd) every 4 days.
